The family farm is a precious commodity. Growing up in the 1970s and 1980s in
the hills of the Catskills, the family farm was the livelihood for many of our
friends and neighbors. I had the
privilege of spending countless hours on a small dairy farm owned and operated
by a family of multigenerational farmers. It was an awesome way in which to learn and explore from the perspective
of a gangly little kid who adored all living creatures.
As an adult, a profession in the Real Property sector and my
roles as wife and mom took me far away from the hills of the Catskills and the
Teeple Brothers dairy farm, yet a big piece of my heart still belonged
there.
Fast forward to 2011, when while attending a neighborhood
party, Patty Casella and I began chatting about a collaboration to create a
destination in our community which would pay homage to the old time family
farm. We began planning a way of
teaming up to provide the finest quality home churned ice cream and fresh baked
goods in our region. We felt that there
was a need for a place in Canandaigua where people could gather to celebrate
with friends and family while enjoying “happy foods” in a fresh new
environment.
Cheshire Farms Creamery is the result of that vision and we
are committed to providing that destination for our guests to visit “every
season and for any reason”.
Experience the best of the Finger Lakes, celebrate the day
at the Creamery – you deserve it!!
Enjoy,
Lisa Kuras and Patty Casella
